International trade simplified.
Scope: Brand Identity + Website
WeTrada is a new venture started by three Dutch entrepreneurs based in China. They are reinventing international trade by offering a unique way to buy amazing products at incredibly low prices, all with the power of crowdfunding.
We were approached by the WeTrada team because they saw some of our previous work with crowdfunding websites, and thought we’d be perfect for the job.
Working with Studio 164a turned out the be a big success for us – the final designs for our website turned out better than we had hoped for.
Even though we were based on different continents during the project, this was not a problem as Wes was quick to understand our needs and responded very quickly with emails and updated designs.
I can highly recommend Studio 164a to any other entrepreneur or company seeking a skilled web designer.

After an initial brief from WeTrada, and some clarification about the scope of the project, we spent some time getting to know their needs, goals, and vision for the business. We discovered that being on different continents, with different time zones, and different cultures, presented a challenge — which we quickly overcame with clear communication and responsiveness.
Firstly, we worked with the WeTrada team to develop a new logo. After numerous rounds of iteration, it was decided that the logo should be a simple wordmark, allowing the website itself to be the focus. During this process, we also developed a colour palette which would be used throughout the website.
While the logo was in progress, we set to work designing the website. The WeTrada team had supplied some basic wireframes indicating information that should be included on each page. We used the wireframes to put together some basic page structures and styling. Once these were agreed upon, we began fleshing out the designs, including responsive layouts for tablets and smartphones.
We were constantly in contact with the WeTrada team, guiding them through the process and presenting small segments of the website so they had confidence in the final product.
WeTrada had their own web developer building out our designs, so the final website is a little different to the designs we handed over.
